What if you find rotten timber?

Do you need scaffolding for a small repair?
Not always. A few slates on a low roof may need only a ladder or tower. Higher or steeper roofs need scaffold. Your quote says which.
Can I send a photo from the ground?
Yes, please do. Stand safely on the ground, zoom in on the area and send it with your postcode. Never climb up to take one.
